Yamaha Virago Revitalized With A Fresh Tuning
Greg Hageman's Yamaha Virago project is far from the classic model you can see on the streets. The crazy enthusiast has successfully built a custom and unique model for one of his tuning customers.
He enhanced the old model with a modern front end produced in 2008, but he also came up with a front 17” rim while maintaining the 15” one on the back. Both rims are “dressed” with Dunlop K555 tires, only they are different. Greg has kept the stance and proportions, while the cohesive result underlines some awkward lines.
The Yamaha Virago model has been improved with a racer stance due to the R1 clip one, as well as the Tarozzi back sets. Later, the clips were replaced with adjustable Tarozzi alternatives. Since the front part needed a change too, this model has Biltwell Thruster handles, a headlight grill and Mikuni VM34 carburetors for a little extra power.
