The fastest car of its time, Opel Admiral
Oh, these old and odd German adverts, they are just plenty of LOLs and gigs! Although my German needs a lot of work, I’m reasonably sure that the lady in this classic ad could not believe just how fast that Opel Admiral could go. And you know what, she was impressed for a reason. When that classic beauty came out in 1937, it had a straight-six engine that was good for 55 kW and 74 HP, claiming to have the top speed among all standard bodied cars at those times. The same engine was used later for the Opel Blitz trucks.
